On August 2, 1971, the Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronograph was worn by astronauts on a mission to the Moon, a watch designed explicitly for the needs of the lunar environment. Today, Bulova returns to the original design by updating it with an exclusive high-precision quartz movement, continuing its legacy of precision timekeeping with the men's Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronograph from the Archive Series. The Lunar Pilot Chronograph 96A299 features the same 43.5mm silver-tone stainless steel case as the original model. Slim chronograph pushers and a crown with the Bulova tuning fork logo are positioned at the 3 o'clock position. Beneath the flat sapphire crystal, the six-hand chronograph dial is rendered in deep, space-evoking black, with stark white accents including l Speedometer ring and retro Bulova logo. The slim hands and applied markers offer exceptional readability and are applied with super luminova to aid reading in low light conditions.
